I believe it easy to be obsessed with eyes, and not just because they are windows to the soul. This eye, in particular, appears to prick me with an apparently superfluous dilemma. Is it calm, or is it angry? It has to be decided if this is a right eye, or a left one: it’s not just a matter of reading its expression.

In times of disruptions it seems important to keep calm and carry on, and for some reason it is important to me to know that this Eye is calm. But it has to remain open to interpretation. Open like an enquiring eye.
